A deep ache in the groin or outer hip, discomfort on stairs.

Hip pain can show up as a deep ache in the groin, a nagging discomfort on the outer hip, or trouble managing stairs. We assess your hip, pelvis and lower back together, since hip pain rarely has just one cause, and build a plan that combines hands-on treatment with strength and mobility work targeted at your specific pattern.

Treated as part of our physiotherapy service.

Common causes

  • Hip flexor or gluteal muscle overload
  • Reduced hip joint mobility
  • Weakness through the pelvis and lower limb
  • Referred pain from the lower back

Our approach

  • Combined hip, pelvis and lower back assessment
  • Hands-on treatment to ease pain and restore mobility
  • Targeted hip and pelvic strengthening
  • Stairs- and walking-specific rehab
